F-Orma - Art Communities Network

F-Orma is an exhibition network formed of independent national and international creative players, which host, curate, promote and disseminate projects by young, up-and-coming artists. Each cultural player in F-Orma  network develops one artistic project. Throughout the year, these projects are hosted as part of the programme of exhibitions and activities of the other network partners. The purpose of F-Orma is to help and coordinate the work of the exhibition network with the ultimate goal of promoting art projects within its connected communities.

Modern Poor

di Guillermo Grande Aguado (gigi_ei) - BURGOS, SPAIN

With this project, the aim is to analyze new terms and advice on economic precariousness, in a satirical light, that part of the  population suffers and that are broadcast in the Spanish communications media. Over the past few years, it has been observed how the communications media have normalized and emphasized  “cool” precarious situations and of poverty that many Spanish workers and citizens are living through. These  problems affect both workers and students alike, from being unable to rent a decent home to having to seek food  in containers. This series of drawings are the result of an analysis of the different news items from the Spanish  press on the new poor and how their way of life has been converted into the latest tendency. Each drawing is an  effort to represent these situations of poverty taken to an extreme in an absurd manner. "Modern Poor" is the artistic project shared with F-Orma network by ESPACIO TANGENTE cultural center
