From October 16, in Batumi art boxes Art Up - Street Gallery will open exhibition of Georgian graphic designer Meki Giorgadze.
Meki is a winner of the Media art competition Portfolio Review 2017. In 2018 he was a resident of the Interdisciplinary Center for Art and Culture Development (Dream Projects) and resident of the German Transcultural Art Lab.
Meki about the exhibition “ვორდINგი”: “I would like to offer you a journey in Georgian-English words. While working on this project, I tried to find up-to-date words that would have a connection with daily life. The project's inspiration has become after novelty in Unicode 11.0.0 that implies the integration of Georgian capital letters (mkhedruli) in modern Georgian alphabet. This signifies that Georgian capital letters will be applicable on any platform, not only in documents, books and posters, but also in emails, sms messages, social networks etc. Since the project creativity is based on words merging, I used modest background to focus your attention to key points.”
