Artist: Levan Amashukeli

Levan Amashukeli is a Georgian-born digital artist and illustrator based in Berlin. Working across digital painting and animation, his practice moves between the digital screen and the physical wall. Since 2006, Amashukeli has been among the first digital painters in Georgia, developing a language that fuses traditional techniques with the possibilities of new media. His works evoke the surreal within everyday life, reflecting on memory, displacement, and the fragile humor of human existence. Amashukeli’s works are exhibited internationally in Berlin, Tbilisi, Venice, Tallinn, and VR galleries.

About Exhibition:

Super Naïve, his new exhibition, stages an encounter between the digital and the handmade. Presented on six monitors, a cycle of digital paintings immerses viewers in Levan’s chromatic worlds - bright, bold, and deceptively simple, yet charged with irony and symbolic depth. The digital works are complemented by two large-scale wall paintings executed directly by the artist, transforming the gallery space itself into an extension of his canvas.

The title Super Naïve points to the deliberate embrace of childlike directness, raw color, and unpolished form. But beneath the apparent simplicity lies a sharp critique of contemporary life.

The exhibition invites viewers to step into a vibrant field where irony and sincerity coexist.
